Description/
Comparing this sketch and the oil painting Chiayi Street Scene (1934), reveals that the composition and arrangement of trees are quite similar in both paintings. This indicates the sketch work is likely a practice draft of the later oil painting work. The lower left corner is inscribed with Chen Cheng-po's signature and the date "1934.8.3."
