Chen Cheng-po composed a series of watercolor sketches of female nudes during his stay in Shanghai. This is one of only two Chen watercolor sketches to feature more than three models. The sketch shows eight females amidst mountains. Most of the women have lowered heads with cascading hair, and some are missing limbs and heads. The mysterious feeling evoked by this painting makes it very unlike Chen's other works.
